Description
  • The article examines the influence of air content on cavitation development and size of the narrowing Laval nozzles, while the used methods are the methods of mathematical and experimental modeling. In liquids, the air can occur in two forms, either as dissolved or stand. Boundary conditions for numerical calculation were based on experimental measurements, while took place in the workplace VSB-TUO. For the numerical calculation the cavitation model of Schneer-Sauer was chosen, which proved to be the most realistic view of the experiment and was further discussed in the literature [2]. Two variants were tested, which differed in modeled stages (water + vapor and water + vapor +air) and were then compared with the experimental variant. From the tested variants the best values static pressure were gained from variant A (water + vapor), which were compared with the experiment. Only the cavitation region was slightly undervalued.
