Description
  • This paper presents the possibility and structure of the self-assessment system, developed at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering VSB-TU Ostrava applicable to any educational institution. In particular, it looks at the requirements in terms of the objectives to be achieved, the procedures needed to be undertaken, and the necessary tools and techniques for achieving improved quality assurance in higher education. An example of a quality assurance system adopted by one of the new UK universities is submitted as an illustration.
