  • Hydraulic systems are applied in many branches of industry. It is necessary to take into account a lot of criterions for a future realization of these systems. Dynamics properties belong to one of important design criterions. Pressure of flow pulses have a negative influence on dynamic loading of hydraulic elements and system tightness. Eigenfrequency of hydraulic systems is an important quantity which is used for the description of dynamic properties. It is possible to determine the eigenfrequency of hydraulic systems by different methods. The aim of the paper is to determine the eigenfrequency of a given hydraulic system in term of knowledge in many parameters of hydraulic elements. The eigenfrequency was investigated by experimental measurement, computer simulation and application of empirical formula. Subsequently the methods were compared.
