  • Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have a large range of applications. Many universities and laboratories are investigating several issues related to wireless sensor networks. WSNs were first developed for military purposes and they are now being frequently used for monitoring seismic active areas, landslide areas, etc. These networks can also be used for medical purposes or for measuring the environment in inhospitable locations. Taking in account the global climate change, discussions about our environment and life conditions are watched regularly. This paper proposes a wireless sensor network for measuring river pollution through the use of probes and MOTE systems
