Description
  • The article summarises the basic methodological principles of ergonomic activities in work systems. It focuses on the characteristic divisions of a large number (more than 300) of methods intended for the ergo-nomic evaluation and design of work systems that are contained in current technical publications. For effec-tive applications of ergonomic activities in order to optimize work systems, the need for method classification understandable not only to ergonomists but also technicians and engineers appears. The proposed classification of ergonomic methods according to the hierarchy of obligation corresponds to the common approaches applied in real conditions of engineering practice and can contribute to an increase in the number of goal-directed and successful ergonomic projects.
