Description	Současného stupně poznání v oblasti výzkumu procesů plamenného hoření je dosaženo zejména díky spojení dvou komplementárních přístupů, tedy uplatněním experimentálních metod v rozdílných fyzikálních měřítcích a využitím nástrojů numerického modelování. Plameny simulované v laboratorním měřítku mohou zahrnovat některé aspekty uplatňující se i v reálných podmínkách při jevech spojených s procesy hoření (např. průmyslové požáry a exploze). Experimentální studie proto představují vhodný nástroj pro lepší pochopení těchto procesů a řešení dílčích problémů souvisejících s velkorozměrovými havarijními projevy. (cs) Contemporary progress in the domain of combustion and flame related research is reached mainly by applying approaches of mathematical modelling and experimental methods in different physical scales. Laminar flames simulated in laboratory conditions involve some aspects of real combustion systems (e.g. fires and explosions). Experimental studies thus represent suitable tool for better understanding of combustion processes or for solving the partial issues relevant to large scale accidental phenomena. Contemporary progress in the domain of combustion and flame related research is reached mainly by applying approaches of mathematical modelling and experimental methods in different physical scales. Laminar flames simulated in laboratory conditions involve some aspects of real combustion systems (e.g. fires and explosions). Experimental studies thus represent suitable tool for better understanding of combustion processes or for solving the partial issues relevant to large scale accidental phenomena. (en)
