Description
  • The aim of this article is to make a comparison of selected existing methodologies which are setting acute exposure limits with a parameter R determined by the Government’s provision No. 103/2006. Each methodology for setting acute exposure limits which is most commonly used in the European Union (AEGL, EEI, ERPG, etc.) is defined in the first part of the article. Then, if data of threshold levels for particular methodology are available, the results acquired by the program ALOHA 5.4.1. and by the Government’s provision No. 103/2006 are compared. Methodologies for stting acute exposure limits are defined and compared according to the ACUTEX which is an EU-funded research project in support of the practical application of the European Council Directive 96/82/EC (the Seveso II Directive) for the control of major-accidents hazards involving dangerous substances.
