Description
  • The long-term accumulation of heat is solved mainly in Germany and Canada, where underground storage are always used for large building complexes. These complexes are sources of thermal energy and appliance simultaneously. In section of the long term accumulation currently occurs intense development. The new solution is the concept STES (Synthetic Thermal Energy Storage), which deals with the team of Building environment in VŠB-Technical university of Ostrava. The new concept follows the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2010/31/EU on the energy performance of buildings [4]. The Directive, in order to optimize the balance between investment and energy costs, which is saved during the life cycle of a building, requires that energy should be extensively covered of renewable sources produced at or in the vicinity of building, where it will be consumed. The aim is to create an alternative to underground storage with a model structure, to use recyclable materials
