Description	Many buildings in the industrial areas (the Ostrava region) from the second half of the 20th century very often do not comply with high comfort requirements of their users. These buildings are very often abandoned and in this way there come some ideas of how to use these object in years to come. Lifespan of these buildings is not completely used up hence ideas about demolitions are not possible (they are expensive). Considerations about revitalisations are very relevant because the costs of energy still grow up. In the research centre CIDEAS (www.cideas.cz) has arisen some studies dealing with revitalisation of the objects in the Ostrava region, which is one of the most industrial cities in the Czech Republic.
