Description
  • The paper deals with modeling of a bend test of the %22K-24 cross-section%22 steel beam. The method employed to model the test is based on stress analysis of the cross-section. The substitutive bending stiffness of the cross-section is used to transform the solution of an elasto-plastic task to the elastic one. Then the numerical form of the virtual work method is applied to determine deflection of the tested beam. It is taken into account the change of the cross-section shape during bending. Finally the results of computations are compared with the test results obtained in laboratory.
