| - This paper is concerned with the alternative reliability assessment of steel frame structures using the probabilistic SBRA method (Simulation-Based Reliability Assessment). The attention is focused on the selection of appropriate reference values, which serve to define the resistance (in case of safety assessment) and appropriate limitations (in case of serviceability assessment) applied in the calculation of the probability of failure Pf of the structure and its members. Next it is necessary to evaluate the suitability of particular transformation models serving as tools for transforming the loading into the response of the structure to the load with regard to the substance of the stochastic method. - Předmětem příspěvku je aplikace pravděpodobnostní metody SBRA v oblasti stabilitních posudků ocelových prutových konstrukcí. V této souvislosti je věnována pozornost přechodu od tradičního posudku vzpěrné pevnosti podle současných norem, založenému na určení vzpěrných délek a součinitelů vzpěrnosti, k pevnostnímu pojetí při respektování účinků zatížení v souladu s teorií druhého řádu. Pozornost je zaměřena především na problematiku vhodného modelování konstrukce pro výpočet účinků zatížení podle teorie druhého řádu, na zavedení nahodile proměnných veličin do výpočtu, na jejich vzájemnou interakci, dále pak na možnosti a způsoby vyhodnocení spolehlivosti prutové konstrukce a jejich částí. Uvedená problematika je v příspěvku demonstrována na pravděpodobnostním posudku spolehlivosti modelového šestipodlažního ocelového rámu. (cs)
