Description	The contamination of water represents a serious environmental problem. The quality instrumental method for instance liquid chromatography with mass detection and the suitable method for pre-treatment of real samples are needed for solution of a complex problem. In the case of contamination of water by drugs (hormonal contraception, ibuprofen) the bag method was found to be suitable for pre-treatment of samples. The sorption efficiency of ibuprofen was 92 % and the desorption efficiency was between 25 % and 70 % for different solvents. The sorption efficiency of hormonal contraception was between 74 % and 78 % and the desorption efficiency was between 60 % and 74 %. Developed bag method was used for monitoring of that contamination of water in the Moravian - Silesian region. Hormonal contraception and ibuprofen were detected in the range from tens to hundreds nanograms. The contamination of water represents a serious environmental problem.
