Description
  • The paper first describes three basic functions of scientific models: description, prediction and application, and discuss the limited capability of contemporary models to fulfill these functions. Then introduces the dynamic graphical modelling as possible solution, describes its basic principles and potential forms of functioning. Dynamic graphical modelling can increase the applicability of theoretical models to the practice on different levels of generality and thus enable the preparation and realization of various theory-based cost/benefit efficient programs, interventions and processes.
