  • El artículo analiza las bases y los resultados del régimen de Rosas en Argentina y el sistema político de Portales en Chile. El autor compara y valora las soluciones argentina y chilena de la caótica situación surgida después de la expulsión de los espaňoles de América Latina. Parece que los dos regímenes, a primera vista muy diferentes, del dictador argentino Juan Manuel de Rosas y del estadista chileno Diego Portales esconden una sorprendente cantidad de parecidos o incluso idénticos elementos.
  • The article analyzes the bases and results of Rosas? regime in Argentina and Portales? political system in Chile. The author compares and evaluates the Chilean and Argentinian solution to the chaotic situation that occurred after the expulsion of the Spaniards from Latin America. It seems that the two apparently very different regimes of Argentine dictator Juan Manuel de Rosas and the Chilean statesman Diego Portales hide a surprising number of similar or even identical elements.
