Description
  • Představen POSTER na:BIOELECTRICS 2013 – 10th International BioelectricsSymposium, Karlsruhe,16.09.-19.09.2013 We investigated plasma-induced pathways of bacterial inactivation with particular emphasis to the effects caused by plasma on cell membranes. Damages on Escherichia coli cells in saline caused by the application of non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) were studied. Conventional cultivation on agar plates and fluorescent method LIVE/DEAD BacLight Bacterial Viability kit were used to evaluate counts of bacteria after the plasma treatment. Decreasing number of bacteria with increasing treatment time by APPJ was determined by both methods, however, a significantly slower decline in bacteria count was evaluated using LIVE/DEAD.
