  • The effects of orbit squeezing are important to neoclassical and anomalous transport fluxes in the region where plasma confinement is improved. This occurs in the edge region after the transition from L-mode to H-mode or in the vicinity of low-order rational surfaces. Neoclassical toroidal viscosity in tokamaks induced by the broken toroidal symmetry is calculated to include orbit squeezing effects. It is found that in the 1/ν regime, the magnitude of the neoclassical toroidal viscosity is enhanced by a factor of |S|3/2, where ν is the collision frequency and S is the orbit squeezing factor; while in the ν regime, it is reduced by a factor of |S|1/2. A boundary layer analysis is performed to remove the singularity in the vicinity of the trapped-circulating boundary in the ν regime. As a result, the well-known ƒË regime is recovered. Orbit squeezing has little effect in the ƒË regime. The implications on the physics of H-mode confinement are also discussed.

  • Stlačení orbitů je významné pro neoklasické a anomální transportní toky v oblasti se zlepšeným udržením plazmatu. K tomu dochází v okrajové oblasti po přechodu do H-modu nebo v blízkosti racionálních ploch nízkého řádu. Neoklasická toroidální viskozita v tokamacích indukovaná narušenou toroidální symetrií je spočtena se zahrnutím efektů stlačení orbitů. Bylo nalezeno že v 1/ν režimu je velikost neoklasické toroidální viskozity zvětšena faktorem |S|3/2, kde ν je srážková frekvence a S je faktor stlačení orbitů, zatímco v ν režimu je zmenšena faktorem |S|1/2. Analýza hraniční vrstvy je provedena za účelem odstranění singularity v blízkosti hranice mezi zachycenými a obíhajícími orbitami v ν režimu. Výsledkem je nalezení dobře známého ƒË režimu. Stlačení orbit má malý dopad v ƒË režimu. Také jsou diskutovány důsledky pro fyziku udržení v H-modu. (cs)
