Description
  • The tunnel probe (TP) is used to investigate the edge plasma of the CASTOR tokamak. 1) Comparison with Langmuir probes demonstrates the superiority of the TP. Thanks to its well known effective collecting area, the measurement of parallel ion current density, electron temperature and floating potential are more reliable. 2) Directional asymmetries of the plasma parameters are observed. The electron temperature is higher on the electron side than on the ion side, and the floating potential is lower. This is consistent with a hot tail of non-thermal electrons flowing in the counter-current direction. Temperature measurements are in agreement with recent theoretical predictions that TPs should be less sensitive to non-thermal electrons than Langmuir probes.

  • Tunelová sonda (TS) se užívá k sledování okrajového plazmatu v tokamaku CASTOR. 1) Srovnání s Langmuirovými sondami demonstruje přednosti TS. Díky dobře definované sběrné ploše jsou měření hustoty iontového proudu, elektronové teploty a plovoucího potenciálu více přesnější. 2) Směrové asymetrie parametrů plazmatu jsou pozorovány. Elektronová teplota je vyšší na elektronové než na iontové straně, plovoucí potenciál je nižší. To naznačuje existenci horkého křídla netepelných elektronů, které tečou směrem proti proudu. Teplotní měření se shodují s teoretickou přwedpovědí, která naznačuje, že TS je méně citlivá na netepelné elektrony nežli Langmuirova sonda. (cs)
