  • Předpokládalo se, že centrifugace používaná v průběhu izolace UHMWPE otěrových částic z tkáně může ovlivnit jejich morfologii. Pro rozřešení tohoto problému byly z několika sad tkání izolovány otěrové částice stejným způsobem bez centrifugace. Na závěr byla použita spontánní flotace a tři různé centrifugační rychlosti. Morfologie otěrových částic byla vyhodnocena obrazovou analýzou SEM mikrofotografií. Centrifugační rychlost větší než 105 000 g neovlivnila parametry otěrových částic. (cs)
  • It was suggested that centrifugation using during isolation may affect the morphology of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene wear particles isolated from periprosthetic tissues. In order to investigate this problem, several sets of in vivo polyethylene wear particles were isolated without centrifugation in the same way. The spontaneous flotation and three different centrifugation speeds were used in the final isolation step. The morphology of the wear particles was assessed by image analysis of SEM micrographs. Centrifugation speeds up to 105,000 g had no effect on observed parameters of the wear particles.
