Description	Increasing of thermal stability of PET nanocomposites during their compounding is a big challenge partly from industrial and partly from ecological point of view. While standard organically modified nanofillers cause thermal decomposition of melted PET, organoclays modified with imidazole salts pose much higher thermal stability. Additional silanization of such nanofillers leads to further improvement of final properties of nanocomposites concerned.
