  • Neizotermní krystalizace poly(N-metyldodekano-12-laktamu), MPA, byla studována použitím DSC metody při rychlostech chlazení 2 - 40 K/min. S rostoucí rychlosti chlazení velikost krystalizačního exotermu klesá a jeho minimum posouvá se k nižším teplotám. Následné DSC termogramy ohřevu (10 K/min) vykazují exoterm bezprostředně za Tg, jehož velikost vzrůstá s rychlostí předchozího kroku chlazení a který odpovídá pokračování primární krystalizace přerušené při přechodu systému pod Tg během chlazení. Kinetická Avramiho analýza poskytla hodnoty exponentu n blízké 2,0, což značí dvourozměrný růst krystalů kombinovaný s heterogenní nukleací. Tobinova metoda, pokrývající střední rozsah relativních krystalinit, poskytla n cca 2,20, což ukazuje na možné částečné uplatnění homogenní nukleace v pozdějších fázích neizotermní krystalizace. (cs)

With increasing cooling rate, crystallization exotherms decrease in their magnitude and shift towards lower temperatures. Subsequent heating runs (10 K/min) show an exotherm just above Tg which increases in magnitude with the rate of preceding cooling run and corresponds to the continuation of primary crystallization interrupted as the system crossed Tg on cooling. Kinetic evaluation by the Avrami method gives the values of exponent n close to 2.0 suggesting two-dimensional crystal growth combined with heterogeneous nucleation. The Tobin method, covering intermediate range of relative crystallinities, provides n ca. 2.20 suggesting possible partial involvement of homogeneous nucleation at later stages of non-isothermal crystallization.
