  • Polyethylen s velmi vysokou molekulovou vahou (UHMWPE) se používá při totální náhradě koulbů. Ozáření UHMWPE může ovlivnit jeho supramolekulární strukturu a snížit otěr, který obvykle omezuje životnost totálních kloubních náhrad. Mikroskopické, rozptylové a termální metody byly využity k sledování strukturálních změn. (cs)
