Description	The use of focusing monochromator permits to suppress the so called surface effect in the neutron diffraction experiment following residual strain/stress measurements in polycrystalline materials. It permits one to determine the stresses under the surface in a thin layer having the thickness much smaller than the width of gauge volume. (en) Použitím fokusujícího monochromátoru lze potlačit nepříznivý povrchový jev v neutronové difraktometrii pro měření zbytkových napětí v polykrystalických materiálech. Tím lze docílit, že zbytková napětí lze měřit v tloušťce pod povrchem vzorku podstatně menší než je šířka kolimovaného svazku řádově 1-3 mm. (cs)
