  • Hyperjádra jsou vhodnou laboratoří ke studiu baryon-baryonové slabé interakce a s ní spojeného efektivního slabého Hamiltonianu. Proces přeměny L-hyperonu v neutron, při kterém se v jaderném prostředí uvolní energie 176 MeV, slouží jako jasný signál konverze s-kvarku na d-kvark. Ukážeme, že specifika jaderné struktury, které se často považují za nežádoucí komplikaci úlohy, se mohou využít k určení složek efektivního slabého Hamiltonianu. Je známo, že při oddělení nukleonu z jeho základního stavu 9Be nebo 9B vzniká několik stavů jádra , které se okamžitě rozpadají na dvě částice alfa. Pomocí tohoto jedinečného procesu je možné identifikovat konkrétní stavy konečného jádra. (cs)

The strangeness changing process, in which a Lambda-hyperon in nuclear matter converts to a neutron with a release of up to 176 MeV, provides a clear signal for a conversion of an s-quark to a d-quark. We will show how the nuclear structure aspects of the problem, often an unwelcomed detail of calculations attempting to understand basic two-body Lambda N interaction, can be used to pick out components of the effective weak Hamiltonian. It is well known that removing one nucleon from 9Be or 9B results in 8Be.with a subsequen a a decay. Through this unique process it would be possible to identify final states of the residual nucleus.
