Description	Capacitance measurement is an efficient tool for studying the dielectric properties of polymeric films. The dielectricproperties of polymers are effected by several factors,e.g.molecular chain arrangement, amorphous and crystalline phase fraction, tacticity, molecular weight distribution, temperature and measuring frequency. The dielectric response of polymers to external electric field depends mainly on its polarity. While in unpolar polymers only induced (electron or ion) polarizations play a role, in polar ones orientationaldipole polarization contributes to the observed effects too. The relative permittivity .elem..sup.r determined from capacitance measurements characterizes the dielectric propertiesof polymers.
