Description
  • Due to nonlinearity of their characteristics, nozzles exhibit an increase in time-mean pressure drop across them if an alternating flow component is superposed on the basic steady flow. In a recent publication a law governing this increase was derived from experimental data, limited to pulsation amplitudes small enough to avoid velocity reversals. In the present paper, consisting of two parts, investigations were extended beyond this small-amplitude limit. Experimental data and characterisation parameters used in processing were discussed in Part I. Now this Part II presents analysis and derivation of a universal correlation, useful for engineering purposes.
