Description
  • This work deals with numerical solution of transonic flow in turbine cascades. Numerical results obtained by means of various turbulence models – two-equation SST and TNT models, EARSM model and an algebraic bypass transition model – were compared with experimental data. Several implicit numerical schemes based on the finite volume method in cell-centered formulation (AUSM and Roe´s schemes) were used for numerical simulations. It follows from numerical tests that the influence of grid topology and the numerical method on the computed flow field and energy losses in turbine cascades is as important as choice of a turbulence model.
