  • Vše nasvědčuje, že šroubovicové struktury vyvolané hydrodynamickými nestabilitami, mají v mechanice tekutin výjimečné postavení. Příspěvek popisuje zhotovené experimentální zařízení a na něm získané poznatky v projektu zaměřeném na objasnění schopnosti samoorganizace struktur. Ty jsou generovány ve smykové vrstvě zatopeného vzduchového proudu excitované azimutálním akustickým buzením v ústí trysky. Jsou zviditelňována rozptylem světla laserového nože na kouřových částicích přidaných do vzduchu. data z videozáznamu jsou zpracována korelačními metodami tak, aby tyto struktury a jejich vývoj mohly být identifikovány.   • Helical structures, due to their chirality property, seem to occupy a special position in fluid mechanics. The paper describes the experimental rig built and the first experience obtained in the course of a project aimed at elucidation of what seems to be these structures capability of self-organization. In the experiment, the structures are generated in the mixing layer of an air jet excited by azimuthal acoustic forcing in the nozzle exit. They are visualised by scattering of laser knife light on smoke particles added to the air. Video image data taken were processed by correlation methods to identify the structures and their development.
