  • Binární nukleace (počáteční stadium kondenzace) kyseliny sírové a vody je tradičně považována za možnou cestu při tvorbě sekundárních (vzniklých reakcí plynné fáze) aerosolů (drobných, kapalných a pevných částic) v atmosféře. Pokračující zájem o tuto směs je motivován potřebou lépe porozumět atmosférickým procesům a míře vlivu znečištění ovzduší na lidské zdraví. Nukleace kapek ze směsi kyseliny sírové a vody již byla experimentálně studována pomocí expanzní a difúzní komory, turbulentního směšování a proudové trubice. Navzdory tomu, kvalita a kvantita získaných dat je stále neuspokojivá, a proto abychom uspokojili potřebu po experimentálních datech v oblasti meteorologie a klimatologie, vyvinuli jsme nové experimentální zařízení, pracující na principu izotermické laminární difúze. V této práci jsou shrnuty výsledky předběžných provozních testů a numerických simulací laminární souproudé trubice. (cs)
  • Binary nucleation (an initial stage of condensation process) in sulphuric acid-water system is traditionally considered as a possible path of secondary (originated from gas to particle conversion) aerosol particle formation in the atmosphere. The ongoing interest in this system is motivated by the need to better understand atmospheric processes and to asses health effects of fine particulate air pollution and automobile exhaust emissions. Nucleation of sulphuric acid-water droplets has been studied experimentally using an expansion cloud chamber, a diffusion cloud chamber, turbulent mixing, and a flow chamber. The quality and quantity of the experimental data is still unsatisfactory. To provide more reliable data for applications in climatology and meteorology a new device is being developed, based on the idea of laminar isothermal diffusion. We present results of preliminary tests and numerical simulations.
