  • Patogenní protein YopP (Yersinia outer protein – Yop P) bakterie Yersinia enterocolitica způsobuje buněčnou smrt u dendritických buněk (DC). Signalizace přes Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR 4) je nezbytná pro buněčnou smrt indukovanou YopP v ranné fázi po infekci (< 4h ) dendritických buněk. Bylo ukázano, že pozdějších fázích po infekci (> 4h) je buněčná smrt nezávislá na signalizaci přes TLR4 receptor. Dále bylo ukázáno, že v TLR4 deficientních DC dochází ke zpoždění štěpení kaspázy 8. Tyto výsledky naznačují, že signalizace přes TLR4 receptor urychluje štěpení a aktivaci kaspázy 8, která spouští signalizační dráhu vedoucí k buněčné smrti DC (cs)
