  • A formula was derived and verified for pCO2 (partial pressure of dissolved CO2) as a function of pH in culture medium commonly used for cultivation of the microalga Spirulina (Arthrospira). Mass balance of CO2 in a suspension of Spirulina flowing in a layer 8 mm thick down an inclined cultivation surface was formulated and investigated theoretically, taking into account CO2 consumption by the alga and CO2 loss from the suspension into the atmosphere. Mass flux of CO2 from the suspension into the atmosphere is enhanced at increased suspension pH as a result of CO2 formation from bicarbonate ions

  • Byl odvozen a ověřen vztah mezi pCO2 (parciální tlak rozpuštěného CO2) a pH živného roztoku běžně používaného pro kultivaci Spiruliny (Arthrospira). Byla formulována hmotová bilance CO2 v suspenzi Spiruliny stékající ve vrstvě o tloušťce 8 mm po spádové kultivační ploše. V bilanci byla zahrnuta spotřeba CO2 řasou a ztráta CO2 přestupem ze suspenze do atmosféry. Ukázalo se, že hmotový tok CO2 ze suspenze se zvyšuje s rostoucím pH suspenze jako důsledek uvolňování CO2 z bikarbonátových iontů (cs)
