  • Amoniakový signál emitovaný koloniemi spustí metabolické změny, které omezí buněčnou smrt pouze na střed kolonie S. cerevisiae. Zbytek populace může využít uvolněné živiny a přežije. V koloniích s defektem v Sok2p transkripčním faktoru, které nejsou schopny produkovat amoniak, se buněčná smrt objevuje po celé kolonii, což snižuje životaschopnost její populace (cs)

The rest of the population can exploit released nutrients and survives.
