Description
| - V práci byly sledovány změny ve složení a biosyntéze fotosyntetických pigmentů v průběhu buněčného cyklu mořské ruduchy P. purpureum. Biosyntéza dvou hlavních karotenoidů, zeaxantinu a beta–karotenu, probíhá v průběhu celé světelné periody buněčného cyklu. Přestože hlavní část beta–karotenu je lokalizována v reakčních centrech, je část celkového poolu beta–karotenu rychle přeměněna na cryptoxanthin. Další konverze cryptoxanthinu na zeaxantin dosahuje maximální hodnoty zhruba ve čtvrté hodině světelné periody buněčného cyklu (cs)
- The photosynthetic pigment biosynthesis during the synchronous cycle of the unicellular red alga P. purpureum was studied. Two the most abundant carotenoids, zeaxantin and Beta–carotene, are initially synthesized during the light period of the cell cycle. Although the main fraction of the beta–carotene appears to be inserted in the reaction centres, a part of the total pool of beta–carotene is rapidly converted to cryptoxanthin. Further conversion of the cryptoxanthin to zeaxanthin reaches the maximal value around the 4th hour of light period of the cell cycle
