Description
| - Acyclic nucleoside phosphonates containing 5-aza and 6-azacytosine base moiety were synthesized and tested for antiviral activity. The most active compound, 1-(S)-[3-hydroxy-2-(phosphonomethoxy)propyl]-5-azacytosine exerted strong activity against broad spectrum of DNA viruses (adenovirus, poxviruses and herpesviruses).
