Description
  • Experiments on the photodissociation of molecules in different cluster environments are described and illustrated based on the example of HBr molecules photolysed at 193 nm in various clusters. The photolysis of HBr molecules incorporated in the hydrogen bonded network of (HBr)(n) clusters exhibits pronounced direct exits of the H-fragments. On the other hand, the H-fragments from HBr molecules bound by much weaker van der Waals forces at the surface of large Ar-n clusters are trapped efficiently by the cluster cage. These observations are mainly explained by the geometry of the molecule bound to the cluster. The HBr molecules deposited on the large (H2O) n clusters behave quite differently. They undergo acid dissociation and the resulting zwitterionic form is excited by the radiation giving rise to the generation of the hydronium H3O molecule and its subsequent dissociation.

  • V tomto článku jsou popsány experimenty s fotodisociací molekul HBr v prostředí různých klastrů. Fotolýza HBr v klastrech (HBr)n vázaných vodíkovými můstky vykazuje značný únik H-fragmentů. Naproti tomu H-fragmenty fotolýzy HBr vázané slabými vand der Waalsovskými interakcemi na Ar klastrech jsou efektivně zachyceny. Tyto efekty jsou vysvětlovány zejména geometrickým uspořádáním klastrů. HBr na velkých vodních klastrech vykazuje zcela odlišné chování. Dochází zde k acidické disociaci a vzniklá zwitterionická struktura je excitována a vznikne molekula hydronia H3O, která následně disociuje. (cs)
