  • Magnetické momenty a energie magnetické anisotropie (MAE) jsou spočteny pro řetízky Co na povrchu Cu se schody v plně relaxované geometrii. Metoda Greenovy funkce je užita k určení parametrů pro N-částicové meziatomové potenciály a pro semiempirický těsnovazebný Hamiltonián. Uvolnění napětí má významný vliv na morfologii podložky. Relaxace atomů redukuje magnetické momenty a MAE. MAE a orbitální momenty vykazují oscilující chování s rostoucí délkou řetízků. (cs)
  • Magnetic moments and the magnetic anisotropy energy (MAE) are calculated for Co chains on a stepped Cu(111) surface in a fully relaxed geometry. The Green-function method is used to determine parameters of N-body interatomic potentials and to fit the semi-empirical tight-binding Hamiltonian. The strain relief is demonstrated to have a profound effect on the morphology of the substrate. Atomic relaxations decrease the magnetic moments and the MAE. The MAE and orbital moments exhibit an oscillatory behavior with increasing the size of chains.
