  • Komplexy cis-MCl2(big), big = bis(1-methylimidazol-2-yl)glyoxal, M = Pt, Pd, byly připraveny a charakterizovány elektrochemií, spektroskopií, a pro M = Pt rentgenovou strukturní analýzou. Sedmičlenný chelátový kruh vytvořený prostřednictvím N,N´ koordinace big ligandu ukazuje vaničkovou konformaci ve shodě s výsledky DFT výpočtů. Žádná významná intermolekulární interakce nebyla pozorována u sloučeniny platiny. Oba PdII a PtII komplexy podléhají reversibilní jednoelektronové redukci v dichlormethanu; redukovaná sloučenina palladia se rozpadá při teplotách nad -30oC. Elektronová paramagnetická resonance (EPR), UV-VIS- a IR spektroelektrochemie byly použity k studiu monoaniontů. (cs)
