  • Usefulness of ESR spectroscopy in titanocene and zirconocene chemistry is demonstrated on three examples. a) The efect of substitution on cyclopentadienyl ligand to acidity of titanium atom in titanocene monochloride complexes. b) The identification of paramagnetic product in a mixture of Zr(IV), Zr(III) complexes arising as minor products in preparation of zirconocene bis(trimethylsilyl)acetylene complexes. c) The ESR investigation of titanium-catalyzed head-to-tail dimerization of tert-butylacetylene.
