| - Jednoelektronová redukce „viologenového řetězce“ dikationtu 1 poskytuje červený kationradikál 2, pro který je charakteristická silná absorbce v oblasti blízkého infračerveného záření. Kationradikál byl generován a prostudován užitím pulsní rádiolýzy, elektrochemických metod, redox titrací, UV-Vis a EPR metod. Všechny výsledky jsou kompatibilní s úplně delokalizovanou elektronickou strukturou 2. (cs)
