Description
| - The first high resolution rotational spectrum of the bromomethyl radical in the gas phase has been observed. The radical was produced in a fast flow system by hydrogen abstraction of CH3Br by Cl or F atoms obtained from a 2450 MHz microwave discharge in Cl-2 or in CF4, respectively. The rotational, quartic centrifugal distortion constants have been obtained as well as the electron spin-rotation interaction constants. The small positive inertial defect, Delta(0) = 0.032 amu Angstrom(2) deduced from the rotational constants of the CH2 Br-79 species clearly indicates that the radical is planar in its ground vibronic state.

- Bylo pozorováno první vysoce-rozlišené spektrum bromomethylového radikálu v plynné fázi. Radikál byl produkován v rychle proudícím systému abstrakcí vodíku z CH3Br pomocí Cl a F atomů, které byly získány mikrovlnným výbojem v Cl2 nebo CF4. Byly získány rotační centrifugální konstanty a elektronové spin-rotační konstanty. Malý kladný inerciální efekt A0 = 0.032 amu ?2 vypočtený z rotační konstanty CH379Br ukazuje, že radikál v základním stavu je planární. (cs)
