  • Electrochemical synthesis of elemental carbon (electrochemical carbon) is mostly based on total dehalogenation of perhalogenated hydrocarbons at ambient conditions.Amont the most interesting outputs, we may quote the preparation of carbyne-like materials, fullerene C60 and multiwaled carbon nanotubes by these reactions. Redox doping of carbonaceous nanostructures is easy, versatile and precise in terms of defined amout of doping charge. The Vis-NIR spectroelectrochemistry of single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNCT) points at reversible and fast bleaching of the electronic transitions between Van Hove singularities. A suggested interpretation follows from the electronic structure of peapods.

  • Elektrochemická syntéza elementárního uhlíku (tzv. elektrochemického uhlíku) je založena na totální dehalogenaci perhalogenovaných uhlovodíků za pokojové teploty. Nejdůležitějšími výstupy je syntéza karbynových struktur, fullerenu C60 a vícestěnných uhlíkových nanotub pomocí těchto reakcí. Redox dopování uhlíkových nanostruktur je snadné, všestranně použitelné a přenesený náboj je dobře definován. Optická spektra ve viditelné a NIR oblasti dokazují rychlé a reversibilní vyhasínání elektronových přechodů mezi van Hoveho singularitami. Byla navržena interpretace těchto jevů pomocí elektronové struktury uhlíkových nanomateriálů. (cs)
