Description
(cs)
  • Flying the agile aircraft which profiles irregularities of the earth's surface exposes pilots to the plus-minus Gz workload. The endurance to this type of load is not possible to derive from +Gz acceleration forces. We can not test pilots on centrifuge as we do not possess such a device. We tried to simulate this type of load during real flight. 6 pilots were tested during two flight tasks at safe altitude above the earth´s surface on sinusoidal trajectory, flying subsonic L 39 aircraft. The range of acceleration was set from -1.5 to +3.5 Gz. Physiological reaction of pilots during flights on the safe altitude and on the altitude 900 ft of active pilotage and passive pilotage were monitored. The negative effect of the push-pull phenomenon on pilot´s tolerance to the acceleration forces was confirmed. This flying test is suitable for selection of pilots with worse adaptation of cardiovascular system to the push-pull Gz workload and of individuals with higher sensitivity of the vestibular apparatus.
