| - Recently, a sensitive LC-MS based method for analysis of multiple mycotoxins in feedingstuff samples was optimized and validated at the Department of Food Analysis and Nutrition of ICT Prague. More than 50 mycotoxins such as trichothecens, zearalenones, aflatoxins, alternaria toxins, ergot alkaloids, enniatins, beauvericin, fumonisins, citrinin, ochratoxins, sterigmatocystin, verrucarol, gliotoxin, roquefortin C, penitrem A, penicilic acid, and mycophenolic acid are extracted and partially purified by means of the modified QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Rugged and Safe) principle. Separation and identification is carried out by means of high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with linear ion trap tandem mass spectrometry, U-HPLC-qtrapMS/MS (AB SCIEX QTRAP(R)5500). By this method, a large set of materials including silages, forages, hay, feeding cereals, extracted soya beans and rape seeds, sugar beet, complex feeding mixtures for pigs, chickens, layers, cows, birds and rodents was investigated.
