Description
  • This paper further extends the knowledge of the strongly dynamic processes describing the selectivity of different N-products formation through a parametric study. The influence of temperature, catalyst substrate, lean/rich phase length and the gas mixture composition on the NSRC performance was tested. Decreasing of the N2O emissions was one of the main goals, because N2O is a strong greenhouse gas and although there are no limits yet for N2O emissions from automobiles, they are expected to appear soon. The critical point is to prevent N2O formation, because once it is produced it is very inert up to high temperature (400°C and more) and it is very difficult to decompose it.
