Description
  • An emerging technical challenge for the automotive lean deNOx catalysts is to minimize N2O formation, because its high global warming potential will most probably lead to regulation of N2O emissions by greenhouse gas laws. As a result, its production in NSRC during regeneration becomes an important objective for optimization of the catalyst operation. The derived global kinetic model of NSRC after verification with measured experiments was used for testing possible operating strategies. A parametric study was performed to determine the influence of the regeneration length and temperature on the catalyst behavior. A real driving cycle data were used for this testing.
