Description	In this article we present an application of discrete event simulation in butadiene rubber supply chain optimization. The proposed solution is created in Witness simulation software environment supported by MS Excel for data loading, outputs upgrading and investment efficiency assessment. With help of the simulation model we propose the structure of Poly Butadiene Rubber (PBR) and Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) manufacturing and supplying in Synthos Kralupy nad Vltavou for three different varieties distinguishing in the material flow intensity. The outputs of our solution are particularly suitable to support a managerial decision about possible investments to storage capacities for C4 crude fraction, Butadiene and Raffinate I as well as an investment to the dispatching terminal for the train tanks filling and emptying.
