Description
  • Use of passive NOx adsorber located downstream the conventional deNOx catalyst is one of the proposed methods for eliminating cold-start emissions. The passive NOx adsorber is supposed to adsorb NOx at low temperatures (cold-start), which are then released at higher temperatures when adsorber is heated during the driving cycle. Therefore our attention was focused on the NOx adsorption and desorption experiments performed with the industrial sample of the PNA to study the influence of various composition of inlet gas mixture (NO2/NOx ratio, absence/presence of reducing agents) at different temperatures. The experimental results were used to calculate the effective NOx storage capacities and kinetic parameters of the mathematical model developed in previous years in our laboratory.
