  • Wheat is commercial crop grown in worldwide and the world production accounts about 630 Mt (million tonnes). Wheat grains are generally oval shaped, although there are some wheat varieties that have spherical or long, narrow and flattened shape. The grain is usually between 5 and 9 mm in length, weight between 35 and 50 mg. Wheat grain has a complex structure that includes a crease on one side. Digital image analysis was used to determine the size, volume and surface area of one hundred kernels of each of seven varieties of Triticum aestivum L. and Triticum duro-compactum L. A standardized image acquisition system consisting of a digital camera, illumination, computer hardware and software was developed to capture and process the images. The projected area, equivalent diameter, perimeter, MaxFeret, MinFeret, thickness and crease depth of a kernel ranged from 16.52 - 20.22 mm2, 4.58 - 5.07 mm, 16.70 - 20.82 mm, 6.21 - 7.29 mm, 3.32 - 3.78 mm, 2.69 - 3.12 mm, 0.23 - 0.42 mm, respectively for the s

  • Pšenice je komerční plodina pěstovaná na celém světě, její světová produkce činí asi 630 Mt. Pšeničné zrno má vesměs oválný tvar, ačkoli některé pšeničné odrůdy mají tvar kulovitý, úzký nebo zploštělý. Zrno je obvykle dlouhé 5 až 9 mm, o hmotnosti 35 až 50 mg. Pšeničné zrno má složitou stavbu, která zahrnuje rýhu na jedné straně. Ke stanovení rozměru, objemu a povrchu 100 zrn sedmi odrůd Triticum aestivum L. a Triticum duro-compactum L. byla využita digitální analýza obrazu. Byl vyvinut standardizovaný systém, sestávající z digitální kamery, osvětlení, počítačového hardware a software, sloužící k zachycení a zpracování obrazu.
