  • Building a simulation model of a batch line as a discrete event system is simpler than a mathematical model creating. For evaluation of possible alternatives or optimization of batch line, a simulation program can be used with advantages. We verified the methodology of modelling and improvement of more complex batch plants by means of a simulation program on an example of ferrous chloride production for pharmaceutical purposes. The technology is not complicated from the chemical standpoint; it is divided into six production stages overall. Some apparatuses were used repeatedly, even in other manufacturing stages. Several recycles arise in such a way and the production management becomes complicated. Because of this, several alternatives of operation sequencing are possible. Such a sequence of operations can be designed that enables increase of production without extra investment costs. All simulation experiments run on the simulation model that was created in the Witness 2007 program.

  • Sestavení simulačního modelu várkové výroby jako systému diskrétních událostí je jednodušší než tvorba matematického modelu. Pro vyhodnocení alternativ nebo optimalizaci várkové výroby lze s výhodou použít simulační program. Prověřili jsme metodologii modelování a zlepšování složitějších várkových výrob pomocí simulačního programu na příkladu výroby chloridu železnatého pro farmaceutické účely. Tato technologie z chemického hlediska není složitá, skládá se ze šesti výrobních stupňů. Obsahuje 20 aparátů, z toho je 9 pasivních a 11 aktivních. Některé aparáty však byly použity opakovaně, dokonce i v jiných výrobních stupních.Vznikne několik recyklů a řízení výroby se zkomplikuje. V důsledku toho je možných několik alternativ časování operací. Je možné navrhnout takovou posloupnost operací, která umožní zvýšení produkce bez dodatečných investičních požadavků. Všechny simulační experimenty probíhaly na simulačním modelu, který byl vytvořen v prostředí simulačního programu Witness 2007. (cs)
