| - Nowadays there is an increasing number of companies that are aware about the exigency to recollect, sort and re-use PET bottles. There are improvements in legislation, quotes for amounts of recollected packaging are set, effective ways of used packaging materials handling are procured. And amount of used PET bottles is increasing. In the Czech Republic this increase is seen mainly in shops and later on dumps. PET containers, however, are one of the few plastic materials, which can be very efficiently reprocessed into a new %22virgin PET%22 or fibres, foils or wrappings. Sustainable development is on of the pillars of EU. Recycling is intimately related to the care of the environment. - V současnosti stoupá počet společností, které si uvědomují nezbytnost zpětně odebírat, třídit a znovu využívat PET láhve. Dochází ke změnám v legislativě, jsou stanovovány kvóty pro recyklaci a dochází k hledání efektivních cest pro zacházení s použitými obaly. Udržitelný rozvoj je jedním z pilířů EU. Recyklace je velmi úzce spjata s ochranou životního prostředí. Hlavním cílem tohoto článku je analyzovat zpracování PET odpadů v ČR, hmotnostní bilance mycí linky a návrh dalších možností využití získaných odpadů. (cs)
