Description
  • The micro-separation device was studied. The main part of the device was a thin cylinder stick formed from hydrophilic polymeric gel. The stick was placed between two reservoirs with electrodes ensuring inlet and outlet of substrate and products of the reaction from the gel. The stick and the reservoirs with the electrodes are the main parts of the separating micro-reactor. Application of external electric current can cause electroosmotic transport of reaction components. The new device with the hydrophilic gel as transporting and separating medium was designed and constructed after previous experiments in a prototype device. The dependences of the shape deformation of gel matrix on the concentration of used electrolyte, concentration of sodium alginate in gel and on the time of the experiments were measured. Measurements of the voltage characteristics at various concentrations of the electrolyte and the solution contained in the gel matrix were performed.

  • Byl sestaven mikro-reaktor s polymerní hydrofilní gelovou matricí v podobě tenkého válečku umístěného v kanálku mezi dvěma zásobníky s připojenými elektrodami, které zajišťují přívod a odvod reaktantů. Po připojení elektrického napětí k elektrodám je vyvolán elektroosmotický transport reakčních složek v gelu. Byly proměřeny základní provozní charakteristiky mikro-reaktoru a prostudována deformace gelové matrice při průchodu elektrického proudu. (cs)
